Mr. John J. Capriotti, President of Business Development

Mr. Capriotti along with Mr. Ryder began R&P Technologies in 2001.  From inception of R&P Technologies, he has supported PMS-317 and PMS-377 in the areas of design, testing and post delivery of new acquisition programs.  Prior to R&P Technologies, Mr. Capriotti worked at NSWCCD-SSES Philadelphia as a Project Manager in their Smart Ship Program.  In support of the Smart Ship Program, Mr. Capriotti was part of the project team that accomplished the Smart Ship prototype on the USS Yorktown and USS Rushmore.  Mr. Capriotti graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1989, earning his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

 

Mr. Bernard J. Ryder, President of Technical Operations

Mr. Ryder has extensive work experience in the field of naval ship new acquisition and in-service engineering support in the  following areas: shipboard power generation, distribution, and control systems, military specification electrical testing, and new technology insertion efforts on shipboard electrical systems.  He has also done extensive work on variable speed drive motor control systems.  Mr. Ryder has accumulated over 20 years of relevant experience within the military and commercial industry.  He has worked directly for the government, and as an independent consultant.  Mr. Ryder earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1991 at Drexel University.

 

Dr. Jeffery S. Riedel, Chief Operations Officer

In December 2013, Dr. Riedel joined R&P as the Chief Operating Officer and VP of Naval Programs, after 27+ years of Naval service. CAPT Riedel brings a wealth of business and engineering experience in managing highly complex shipbuilding programs. While on active duty, he oversaw construction, testing, trials, delivery and fleet introduction of 5 first of class ships. Served as the Production Officer at SUPSHIP Bath, as the DDG 51 Class Chief Engineer, as the DDG 51 Class Post Delivery Manager and as the LPD 17 Class Production/Test/Technical Director. As a CAPTAIN, he managed two major programs; the $16.5B Amphibious Warfare Program (PMS 377) and the $15B Littoral Combat Ship Program (PMS 501).  Dr. Riedel earned his Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering in 1986 from Maine Maritime Academy; and his Master and PhD, in Mechanical Engineering, from the Naval Postgraduate School in 1993 and 1999, respectively.
