Mr. Barry Upson, Program Manager
Mr. Upson has 38 years of shipboard experience. The past 18 years of his career has been in program management of both commercial and government contracts; simultaneously supporting multi-million dollar contracts. In the commercial industry, he has provided a wide-range of services from logistics to complete shipboard machinery control system installation. Mr. Upson has extensive work experience in shipboard electrical generation and distribution systems, switchgear and machinery control systems. Retired Master Chief Upson served 20 years in the US Navy, and during his tenure, supported various types of naval ships within the fleet.
Mr. Shane A. McCullough, Senior Systems Engineer P.E.
Mr. McCullough has vast work experience in the concept design, integration, start-up, and in-service support of shipboard machinery control systems, power generation systems, power distribution switchgear, and electric propulsion systems. Mr. McCullough has accumulated over 20 years of relevant experience within the military and commercial industry. His titles have included program manager, engineer, and independent consultant to the marine industry in Europe and the United States. Mr. McCullough has co-authored published, technical articles and graduated from Mississippi State University in 1992, earning his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
Mr. Steve Phillips, Senior Engineer
Mr. Phillips has over 30 years of electrical engineering experience working on both military and commercial projects worldwide. During this time, Mr. Phillips has gained valuable application experience within the Marine, Oil & Gas, Steel, Process, Paper, Nuclear Energy, Water Treatment and Wind Energy industries. Specializing in power and propulsion systems, bridge lever systems, Dynamic Positioning systems, drilling systems, switchboards, PLC and Automation systems, wind turbines, fan and pump systems, process lines, steel mill systems, plus many more. His roles have included Service and Commissioning Engineer, International Application Support Engineer and Site Commissioning Manager. Mr. Phillips graduated in the UK in two fields, Electrical and Electronic Engineering plus Business and Finance.
