AMSEC LLC was formed
in June 1999 as a business partnership between Science Applications
International Corporation (SAIC) and Newport News Shipbuilding
(NNS). Prior to the creation of the LLC, AMSEC had been a wholly
owned subsidiary of SAIC since 1987 and has been in existence since
1981. AMSEC LLC is a full-service supplier to the Navy and commercial
maritime industry. We provide naval architecture and marine engineering,
electronic systems engineering, vessel system assessments, maintenance
engineering and program development, shipyard industrial engineering,
and complete logistics services, from technical manual development
to provisioning documents, spare parts management and training.
